The firmer soil profile gives more structure and more tannin than the domaine's Chiroubles, but Passot describes the site as producing a Morgon of finesse rather than sheer power. Winemaking follows the pattern used across the range, with maturation in a mix of demi-muids and stainless steel, so the fruit and the granite stay to the fore.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproachable now and capable of six to eight years, it suits roast duck, coq au vin or a plate of hard cheese.
