The Armenier sisters of Domaine de Marcoux, better known for their Châteauneuf, farm the Lorentine vineyard in the heart of the appellation in the valley of Balouvière, and have spent years restoring life to soils that had been neglected, working organically and biodynamically. The blend is half Grenache with equal parts Syrah and Mourvèdre, fermented with indigenous yeasts and raised for fifteen months in concrete and old wooden barrels, so the wine keeps the purity and balance that mark the house style. It is generous and textured without heaviness, closing long and fresh on fine, powdery tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproachable on release and good for eight to ten years.
