Les Longeroies is among them. The name probably derives from the verb longer, to border, which fits a vineyard on the boundary between Marsannay and neighbouring Chenôve. It faces south, and Mortet's two parcels sit mid-slope: one planted with 50-year-old vines, the other with a Pinot Fin selection put in during 1992. Ageing ran to 18 months in oak, only 10% of it new and the rest in one- and two-year-old barrels, and 50% whole bunches were used, the highest proportion yet for this cuvée.
