Classified grand cru, it is the Loire's only such site, and the appellation rules require very low yields and picking in successive passes so that only botrytised or shrivelled Chenin Blanc berries are taken. Domaine des Baumard, whose family has worked in Anjou since the seventeenth century, is one of the principal owners.
