Its growers may label the wine as Charmes, and most do, which is why bottles carrying the Mazoyères name are scarce. Bottling it under its own name is a statement about the site. Bernard Dugat-Py and his son Loïc work from cellars in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, part of which occupy a medieval tithe building. The domaine is small, farmed organically and known for severe crop levels.
