Vineyards of this kind ripen a little differently from the deeper sites nearby, and Porusot has a reputation for firmness and length rather than early charm. Meursault has no grand cru of its own, so its premier crus carry the standing of the village. Dugat-Py is a Gevrey-Chambertin domaine at heart, run by Bernard and his son Loïc, farmed organically and cropped very low.
