In a short year the lieux-dits that would normally be bottled on their own are folded in, and this release also takes in fruit from Chêne, near the summit of the Montagne de Montpalais, and Maizières on a gentle slope east of the village. Average vine age is above forty years, with the oldest approaching a hundred, which is remarkable for the Côte Chalonnaise. Vincent Dureuil farms these plots organically and is fastidious in the vineyard, which shows in the concentration of the wine.
