Ghislaine and her son Clément planted half a hectare of Chardonnay in the mid-to-late 2010s, and the wine reached the market with the 2020 harvest. The vines sit at Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, on the flat land east of the Côte, close to the Les Bons Bâtons parcel that supplies the domaine's Bourgogne Rouge. The vineyard name points to the stony, gravelly ground beneath the vines. In the cellar, Clément has settled on a split ageing regime: half the wine in used 500-litre oak casks, with weekly bâtonnage to build texture on the lees, and half in terracotta jars, which keep the fruit direct and unmarked by wood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproachable on release and good for three to five years in the cellar; serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, grilled white fish or a soft washed-rind cheese.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
