White wine was for many years a family affair only, made in tiny quantities from old Pinot Beurot and Chardonnay vines. This cuvée changed that. The Chardonnay was planted in the late 2010s in Les Graviers, a vineyard named for its stony soils and lying near Les Bon Batons on the edge of Chambolle, and the first release came from the 2020 harvest. Élevage is split evenly between used 500-litre oak and terracotta amphora, a combination that keeps the wood in the background and lets the site speak. The result is both fleshy and racy, and quite unlike most regional white Burgundy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next four or five years.
