The clay here is deeper and whiter than in Les Fuées above, and Ghislaine Barthod places the style of the wine between Les Fuées and Aux Beaux Bruns, which matches its position on the map: the perfume and marl character of the northern crus with some of the flesh of the vineyards near the village. The parcel carries sixty-year-old vines but runs to only 0.18 hectares, so quantities are very small. Gruenchers takes 30 per cent new oak, more than most of the range, which suits the deeply textured character of the wine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGive it four or five years and expect fifteen.
