Aux Gravains takes its name from the light, sandy and gravelly soils of the site and sits between Les Lavières and Aux Serpentières. Cool air drawn down the Combe de Bouillon preserves freshness, while the light limestone soils give floral lift and silken, mouthcoating tannins. Jean-François and Lucie Germain run the domaine from Meursault, where the whites are the better-known part of the range, and the reds are made in the same unforced style.
