The parcel that makes this wine sits within the lieu-dit of Chapelot, separated from the Grand Cru Blanchot only by a narrow ravine, which explains a good deal about its concentration. It covers two contiguous plots, one of fifty-year-old vines and a second replanted more recently. Domaine Moreau-Naudet, now run by Virginie Moreau at Chablis, works with low yields and long, unhurried élevage, keeping oak influence minimal so that the mineral, earthy character of the site is not obscured.
