The vineyard was replanted after the 2012 vintage using mass-selection cuttings at the high density of 11,000 vines per hectare, and this is the third release since. For the time being only the best fruit from the site goes into the cuvée, with the remainder declassified into the domaine's Bourgogne rouge. Its position among the Grand Cru vineyards on the lower slope of Gevrey gives more flesh and roundness than the average village wine from the commune, while the youth of the vines keeps it fresh and lifted.
