This section is now worked by horse, the vines are between 30 and 50 years old, and the white oolitic limestone beneath them typically gives a deep, slow-to-unwind red Burgundy. Around a decade in bottle is usually needed before it opens into the vivid, flowing, Chambolle-like premier cru it becomes, and previous bottlings under this label have often been described as tasting like a scaled-down Bonnes Mares or Clos de la Roche.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBest from eight to ten years and good for well beyond that.
