The vines are between twenty-three and thirty years old, rooted in white oolitic limestone, and this section is now ploughed by horse. Historically the site gave a deep, slow-developing red that took about a decade to open into something closer in style to Chambolle-Musigny; warmer seasons have made it more approachable young. Its position bordering Gevrey-Chambertin shows in the depth and structure it retains.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink from four or five years and over the following fifteen.
