The village has close to thirty premiers crus and no grand cru, an accident of classification that has long made its village wines good value for the quality of the ground they come from. Vieilles vignes is not a regulated term in Burgundy, but growers apply it to older plantings, which crop less and root deeper. Rossignol is one of the established vigneron names of the village.
