The site consistently produces a more restrained and mineral style of Meursault than the fleshier southern parcels, and the reputation of these northern climats has grown steadily. Vincent Dancer's holding here is small, planted in 1958, and the age of the vines together with naturally low yields concentrates the fruit. The domaine picks by hand, presses whole bunches, ferments on indigenous yeasts and raises the wine in older barrels, avoiding new oak and any deliberate build-up of richness.
