The slope is severe enough to need terracing, the soil is thin over Kimmeridgian limestone, and the aspect catches the sun early, which sets it apart from the gentler upper part of Bougros. Fèvre owns the greater share of this parcel. The domaine was founded in 1959 by William Fèvre, whose family had long farmed vines here, and was bought in 1998 by the Henriot family, who installed Didier Séguier as winemaker. He replaced heavy new oak with larger, older barrels.
