Its soils combine limestone and weathered sandstone with a loamy topsoil, and the site is warm and early ripening, giving a Riesling with pronounced ripeness and a firm mineral spine. Dr. Bürklin-Wolf ranks it G.C., the estate's own Grand Cru designation, taken from the historic vineyard classification the domaine reinstated. All farming is biodynamic and Demeter certified.
