Equipo Navazos works by selecting individual casks and lots from established Andalucian bodegas and bottling them under its own label; this wine comes from the stocks of Pérez Barquero and is drawn from late-harvested and sun-dried PX grown in one of Montilla's best single vineyards. It is inspired by the era when PX was often bottled as a vintage wine and released without extended ageing. Fortification is carried out only with top-quality, wine-based spirits. After eighteen months resting in the large cone-shaped amphorae that Montilla-Moriles has used for centuries, known locally as tinajas or conos, the wine is bottled as an ultra-pure, viscous and naturally sweet dessert wine — amber rather than opaque black, and vibrant rather than heavy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt will keep for a very long time in the fridge once opened.
