This one is the sister cask to the Bota 66 malt shipped a few years earlier. The new make was grown and pot-distilled in Castilla la Vieja, and of its estimated fourteen years, the last seven were in a single solera cask that had held very old dry Oloroso. Bottled in 2018. One cask, one filling, no repeat, which is how the whole numbered series works.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRoasted grain and pipe tobacco with a soft, smoky edge, then honeyed sweetness that reads almost like bourbon without the vanillin, and a spicy, saline, fully knitted finish.
