It is one of the richer premier crus of the commune, giving broad, honeyed wines with more flesh than the Perrières, Charmes and Genevrières trio further south, and it needs a grower with a light hand to keep it fresh. Fabien Coche works the family's Meursault holdings from the village itself, pressing whole bunches, fermenting and ageing in barrel with restrained new oak, and leaving the wine on fine lees for an extended period.
