Grégoire Hoppenot set up in Fleurie in 2018 after a career in the wine trade, and works almost entirely with Gamay from the cru vineyards around the village. This wine is the anomaly in the range: the domaine does not farm Chardonnay, but was offered a parcel by a grower at Crêches-sur-Saône, in the far north of Beaujolais just south of Mâcon, and took it. The site is closer in character to the southern Mâconnais than to the granite of the crus, and the wine is made in the same unfussy manner as the rest of the range.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next two or three years.
