Farming has been organic for decades, and it's certified. First made in 1981, this bottling takes its name from the old Pieve di San Leolino nearby. After a long maceration, the wine goes into French oak barriques for roughly eighteen months, plenty of them new, then further time in bottle before release.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDeep and structured, with dark cherry, iron and dried herbs behind serious tannins.
