Lamarche draws on Les Cruots ou Vignes Blanches, Clos Saint-Denis and Les Champs Traversins, with vines averaging about 30 years. Nicole Lamarche, who has run the domaine since 2013, works with very low yields and a deliberately delicate extraction, and the wine is aged entirely in used oak so nothing sits between the fruit and the drinker. The result is a supremely elegant reading of the terroir, with the perfume, detail and floral lift that have become the house signature, and rather more breadth than the domaine's Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes without losing the same sense of energy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBest from eight years and good for twenty.
