In most vintages it underpins the Stagiaire Pinot and Chardonnay, and only when yields and quality both line up, as they did in 2024, does it get bottled on its own. The MV6 vines went in during 1996, into the brown-grey loam that runs across this part of the Peninsula. Stems are left out here entirely, and the wine spent nine months on lees in 300-litre hogsheads, a fifth of them new, before bottling unfined and unfiltered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePerfumed and lifted, with dark berry fruit, woody herbs and spice ahead of a plump, juicy middle and a savoury close flecked with minerality.
