Bunches went to the press whole on a slow, gentle cycle, then to old puncheons where fermentation proceeded on wild yeast and full solids with no temperature control. Seven months on lees gave the wine its body. Barney Flanders grows and makes serious Pinot Noir, so it follows that the rosé is built like a small white wine and not a sweetened afterthought.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBeautifully pale, with strawberry, red currant and a floral, spicy lift. Texture and a touch of grip give it depth, and the finish is crunchy and fresh.
