Its best known slope is the Côte du Py, a weathered dome above the village, and Morgon as a whole gives the firmest and longest lived wines of the region, so much so that older bottles are often mistaken for Côte de Beaune. Georges Duboeuf, established at Romanèche-Thorins in 1964, selects across the cru.
