Saint-Joseph lies across the river on the right bank, a long ribbon of steep decomposed granite where whites make up only a small part of production. This cuvee is blended 70 per cent Marsanne to 30 per cent Roussanne: Marsanne supplies the broad, waxy, almond-like core and Roussanne lifts it with perfume and acidity.
