Its defining decision is technical: malolactic fermentation is blocked, so the natural malic acidity of the base wines is retained and the wines are built to age. Grande Réserve draws on more than a dozen crus, roughly split between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a smaller share of Meunier, and leans on a substantial library of reserve wines.
