Grégoire Hoppenot farms nearly three hectares across it, with vine age running from 35 to 90 years. The slope rises from 260 metres at the Moulin-à-Vent border to 340 metres at the top and holds two distinct soils: shallow, poor granitic sand at the top of the hill, becoming heavier as clay increases over the granite bedrock in the Bas de Moriers. Hoppenot farms in both sectors and reserves the best fruit for this single-terroir bottling.
