Guffens-Heynen, the domaine Jean-Marie Guffens and Maine Heynen built from a handful of hectares, farms these sites on severely restricted yields and harvests by hand at full maturity. The 1er Jus designation refers to the first-run juice from a slow whole-bunch pressing, kept apart from the rest.
