The wine is named for Johann Christian Henschke, the Silesian immigrant who planted the family's first vines at Keyneton in 1862. Grenache leads with Mataro and a portion of Shiraz, fermented in open vessels and matured in seasoned French oak so the variety's lift is not covered over.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eServe slightly cool, around 15 degrees, with roast pork, charcuterie or grilled vegetables.
