Moelleux Première Trie is made from the first selective pass through the rows, when only the ripest, shrivelled and botrytis-affected berries are taken, so the picking is slow and the volumes small. Fermentation is unhurried and the wine sees no new oak, which leaves the sweetness framed by the high natural acidity Chenin Blanc holds on this site. The season here was sunny and late-maturing, producing a wine in the mould of Huet's other well-known late-ripening years. At 375ml the format matures a little faster than a standard bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFully mature and drinking now, though well-cellared half-bottles will keep.
