The vines were first established at Lodge Hill, one of the Clare's highest vineyards at around 480 metres, where cool nights help the grape keep its natural acidity. This 2021 has been held back by the winery and released with extra bottle age, showing lifted white florals and wet stone, a mineral texture and a classic saline lick on the finish. The business itself goes back to 1959, when Jim Barry founded it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChill it and pour with salt and pepper calamari, grilled sardines or lemony roast chicken.
