Domaine Landron farms biodynamically, and La Louvetrie is the one wine in the range built from several sites rather than a single terroir, taking in amphibolite, gneiss, sand and clay, and including younger-vine fruit from the estate’s better parcels. The vines run from 15 to 30 years old and are cropped at 50 hl\/ha, low by the standards of the appellation. The wine matures on its lees for eight to 12 months before bottling with a low dose of sulphur, which gives it the creaminess that sits under the saline, citrus-driven attack.
