The Bret brothers acquired it recently with Dominique Lafon. The 40-year-old vines face due east in a sheltered spot below a small forest, in the shadow of the Roche de Vergisson; the previous owners farmed organically and the vineyard has now been certified biodynamic. The plot also holds 0.3 hectares of old-vine Aligoté. Because the rows run down a slope, the fruit ripens in stages and has to be picked in successive passes. A good portion goes to the brothers' experimental Ovoïde and Carbonnode cuvées. This wine fermented and aged in barrel for a year before being transferred to tank ahead of the following harvest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next six or seven years with grilled fish, roast poultry or goat's cheese.
