The parcel is own-rooted and carries several clones, one of them the original selection from the 1890 Greenock property. For 2019 the fruit was destemmed and the berries crushed into small three-tonne open-top fermenters, hand plunged twice daily across twenty days, then rested twenty months in a mix of new and seasoned French and American oak. The style is generous without being heavy-handed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDark plum, blackberry and a ferrous, earthy Greenock signature, with cedar and vanilla behind and tannin that still has some to give. Cellar it, or decant and pour with a good steak.
