Almost all of it was destemmed, though a little of the old-vine Grenache stayed as whole bunches. The parcels fermented separately in open-top vessels with hand plunging and pump-overs as each batch needed, then spent fourteen months in seasoned French puncheons before bottling unfined and unfiltered. Shawn Kalleske prices this well under what it is worth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRed berries and plum with a dusting of spice, medium-bodied and easy in the shoulders, with soft tannin and a savoury Mourvèdre edge on the close.
