Most of the 2024, 88 per cent, comes from Jack and Lois Doeven's cold Drumborg site in Henty, where well-established vines planted in the 1980s sit on schist and crop very low. Geelong fills out the rest. The fruit was destemmed and fermented in a 3,000-litre wooden vat with regular pump-overs, then matured in a mix of old and roughly ten per cent new French oak in several sizes, from 225-litre barriques up to 2,500-litre casks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBright and fresh, with the raciness that runs through this producer's wines balanced by ripe berry fruit, earthy spice and a crunchy, sappy finish. Serve at 14 to 15 degrees.
