It is low-yielding, entirely MV6, on black clay, basalt and limestone. 2019 tested his nerve: a hot, quick start had many growers stripping fruit in a hurry, and he waited for the weather to settle so ripening could return to a long, even pattern. Hand-picked, spontaneously fermented with 80 per cent whole bunches, eleven months in new wood, three years in bottle. Named for one of his and Maree Collis's daughters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDark cherry and forest floor with whole-bunch spice and a long, structured finish. There is power here and no shortage of perfume. Serve at 15 to 16 degrees.
