The 2024 runs 56 per cent Riesling, 42 per cent Pinot Gris and a 2 per cent dash of Chardonnay, from three neighbouring blocks at Dash Farms in Leanganook and Faraday. They share granite soils and a westerly exposition, the Riesling sitting just above the Chardonnay and the Gris off to one side as you look up the slope. Each variety came in separately: Riesling protected from air and cold-settled before a cool stainless ferment, Gris pressed firmly and moved into a 1000-litre ceramic jar with hand-crushed Chardonnay bunches to finish fermenting together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAromatically it sits between orchard fruit and citrus peel, with a waxy, chewy middle and a dry, faintly bitter finish that asks for food.
