A second rose pick followed from A-W block. Unusually for Chalmers the Nebbiolo came in ahead of the Refosco, yields being very low; the macerated Nebbiolo here is all from the newer Chalmers planting, what remained after Pat Underwood had set aside rows for his own label. Components aged in a spread of stainless and oak vessels, each given the temperature and oxygen its tannins wanted, with pressings from the Colbinabbin reds blended in before a final spell in barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTar and dried rose from the Nebbiolo, dark plum and iron from the Refosco, and a tannin structure that is firm without being hard.
