Sequel is the Syrah, made by Australian John Duval, who spent many years as chief winemaker at Penfolds. The fruit comes from established Columbia Valley vineyards, and the wine is matured in French oak. The 2017 is deep and inky, with blueberry, violet and cassis, a savoury black olive thread, and a layered, well-structured palate with fine texture and a long finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDecant for an hour and serve at around 16 to 18 degrees.
