The Sibi et Paucis label, Latin for roughly for the few and favoured, covers 10 to 15% of production of the estate's Nebbiolo wines, which is set aside in the underground cellars under optimal ageing conditions. The Barolos are re-released ten years after the vintage and the Valmaggiore after six, and each bottle carries a stamp on the label to distinguish it from the original release. Luciano Sandrone's stated ambition was that all his wines would one day be sold only when they were ready to drink.
