Its reds are firm and savoury, with dark cherry fruit, an earthy undertone and rather more grip than the softer communes to the north, and they remain among the better value village wines of the Côte. Domaine Lucien Muzard et Fils is based in the village and farms organically; this cuvée is drawn from the domaine's older parcels, where lower yields and deeper rooting give more concentration.
