The water moderates frost and extreme temperatures, and the long, cool season gives this grape, the state's signature red, bright acidity, fine tannins and red-fruited perfume. French oak is chosen to support the fruit, not dominate it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRed cherry and forest floor, with silky tannins.
