The Massolino family bought its first parcel here in 1964 and added more land during the 1970s, though the holding still amounts to only 1.5 hectares. The site sits at 280 metres above sea level, and its chalky, sandy profile brings elegance where Serralunga more often brings force, while a high calcium carbonate content lends mineral energy. Fermentation is in large oak fermenters and ageing exclusively in large casks, without new barriques, which keeps the emphasis on the site rather than the wood. Within the Massolino crus this is the one most often likened to Chambolle-Musigny for its perfume and lighter frame — about as close as Barolo gets to that idea, while remaining unmistakably Serralunga Nebbiolo.

More approachable young than Parafada or Vigna Rionda, though good for fifteen years. Serve at 16–18°C with tajarin, roast guinea fowl or a soft washed-rind cheese.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
