Massolino have been a family estate in Serralunga d'Alba since 1896 and are known above all for Barolo, so this is a small departure from the house range rather than a commercial line. The vineyard lies at about 530 metres on soil of mixed consistency tending towards limestone, and the height and cool nights suit a variety that depends on holding its acidity. The wine is fermented in steel and left in contact with its fermentation lees for eight to ten months, with a portion aged in terracotta amphorae, and it is finished dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next few years while the aromatics are fresh.
