Massolino is far better known for Barolo, and its Moscato is a small-volume sideline drawn from hand-harvested grapes, with a good portion grown on the calcareous soils of Serralunga. That limestone gives a more savoury and structured version of the style than the usual example, with the balance between sweetness and acidity held tight rather than left soft. Giovanni Angeli oversees the wine, and the frothy, low-alcohol format is meant to be drunk young.

Drink it as fresh as possible, within a year or so of release, and serve well chilled at around 8°C with fruit tarts, panettone or a plate of peaches.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
